This is one of the most exciting things I've ever done! We drove about 1 1/2 outside of Beijing to the Mutianyu section of the wall. The hiking was very hard work but I felt a sense of accomplishment when I made it all the way to the top of this section.
We got to ride a cable car up and then bobsled back down The bobsled was so fun- we wanted to go back up to the top just to ride that again!
It was pretty hazy out and this is the best shot I could get of the wall. Look at all those steps I had to climb (and that was only one section!)
Chinese women will wear heels anywhere! I had a hard enough time climbing the stairs and rocks with the shoes I had on. I can't imagine this would be comfortable!
