I decided to update my blog a bit- to give it a fun new look and title. Since I'm mostly going to be posting about my new life in Germany and the adventures I'm having here for the next few years, I thought I'd reflect that!

I finally got internet connection at my house after almost a month. It was seriously a killer not having it- it's amazing how much I really do rely upon it and you don't realize until you don't have it anymore. I was able to finally pay bills, catch up on the Office -you know my priorities ;) and talk to people through Skype. I think the lack of communication was the hardest part- I like to be able to just call friends or family on the weekends and it was kind of a lonely month without it. Skype also has a cool thing where you can get a "local" phone number so people can call you. I was able to get a 214 number so now anyone can call me from their cell phones or home without having to get on Skype. It's so great! Laura and Leslie were my first phone call from their San Fran vacation.

Um- yeah it snowed in October. This Texas girl is going to be in trouble!

I went to go see Sean and Mary, my friends from the summer, today so I could see their new baby. Liam was so cute!

I got to go to Berlin a few weekends ago. It was nice to get away from home for a little while even though it was a super long bus ride. I got to see all the major sites like the Brandenberg Gate, remains of the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie and Charlottenberg Palace, and the Berlin Dom. It was a beautiful fall day!
