I love the Olympics! I always enjoy watching swimming and gymnastics during the summer. I saw the British diving team in the airport on my way back- very exciting!
Beijing is very thrilled to be hosting the Olympics. The Birds Nest stadium looks really coo(- I couldn't get a really good picture because of the haze so I just downloaded this one from the internet.) The city is really trying to clean up and be ready for all the visitors. They have cut half the cars off the road to try and help with the smog. They even had a day each month called "Learn how to line up day" so Chinese people would have to practice standing in lines rather than pushing.
The fuwa- mascots that represent 5 continents playing in the games.
The Olympics start 8/8/08 at 8 pm. In China 8 is a lucky number.

Also in the square- they were making displays out of flowers and actively working to get it all done before the 8th.
