I got my contract today for the China trip this summer!! I will be in China for about a month in July, teaching ESL at a boarding school. I will be traveling with a group of teachers.
The school is in Nanjing but I will have the opportunity to travel to a few other cities as well like Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Guilin.
At the school I will also get the opportunity to learn some Chinese and hopefully get to eat some yummy food.
I will be leaving on June 30 and returning July 27th. I was so tempted to extend my stay and go up to Beijing. I've never traveled to Asia so I was a little nervous about being there by myself. Not that I'm ever really afraid of being by myself but it could get really expensive/crowded with the Olympics. I'm bummed I won't get to see a lot of the bigger places like the Great Wall, Forbidden City or the Terra cotta Warriors. Maybe next time.
