Helau is the typical Karneval greeting
It is like Halloween and Mardi Gras rolled all in one. We were in Dusseldorf for the weekend and we saw people in costume the whole time (maybe some people never even went home!).
It was just one big street party- there was music playing, people dancing and singing all night long!
