Sorry it's been so long since my last post- I feel like I haven't been home much but there is a lot to catch up on. Let's see, at the beginning of May, my dad and stepmom came in town for a quick visit (really just a long layover on their way to Venice). We didn't get to do much besides hang out at my place but it was fun to see them even if it was only 24 hours. They flew out of Munich so I stayed down there for the day to hang out.
It was a nice relaxing time- I used it as a spiritual retreat, sat in Starbucks (yeah!) read, journaled and saw some Munich sites. I took the city tour to get the big overview of everything. There was a big festival going on so it was very crowded too but nice after so long being in the country. One of my favorite things to do is sit in a cafe, drinking coffee with a good book and it's just kind of hard to do here.
Schloss Nymphenburg outside of Munich
Where's Mr. Darcy?
It was rainy and cloudy the whole time- which I'm beginning to think is the norm in Germany.
