As Laura likes to say, let's embrace the detours....
I have changed my flights for the end of the trip and am now going to Beijing for a few days! There are quite a few people who have extended their trips to travel to other places around China so I'm going to join a group that is going to Beijing. I will get to see the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Beijing as it prepares for the Olympics. We are going to take a sleeper train for the 12 hour trip. I will now be coming home on July 31.
I just figured- when am I really going to be able to come back to China? I might as well take advantage of this and leave with no regrets!
Okay- this is really just me posing in front of a picture but in a few weeks I will have the real thing!
