I think taking pictures in cathedrals are one of my favorite things to do.  Even though they start to look the same after a while, I love the architecture and stained glass and interesting art.

Overview of the city from the Imperial Castle
Sean had a friend come in town who flew into Nuremberg so we spent the day exploring the city.  Unfortunately it's been a rainy week so we got a little drenched.  Rain also makes it hard to take pictures which is sad but you know me, I'm determined to get my pictures.  I would run into a little door alcove so I could pull out my camera without it getting too wet or try to snap as many as I could in between rain storms.

Nuremberg is home to the Nazi party rally grounds and is where the trails took place after World War II.  We toured the center but didn't really get to see anything- it was mostly listening and looking at pictures of what the grounds looked like when the Nazi party would gather for fests.  It was pretty interesting listening to interviews of German citizens who had participated- they were like "I saw Hitler like 12 times during the rally" or "It was such a fun time with our family".  I would have thought they would be more subdued about it but I guess it is childhood memories for them.

  1. I'm right there with you when it comes to taking pictures. Whatever the cost or inconvenience...I will do it to get the shot. :)

That is so interesting about the people speaking about their experience as if it is a good one. It amazes me how people view things so differently.

    Praying for you -aj
